In their television Critics’ association panel on Wednesday, network president Karey Burke revealed that plans are in motion for a new live-action marvel female hero series. When Agents of shield wrap-up their final mission next year, it will mark the first time because The Avengers ABC will not host a marvel series on its air. This new show appears to be separate from another marvel female hero series developed for the network by wonder woman writer Allan Heinberg. At February’s TCA event, Burke told Deadline the Heinberg show would not relocation past the pilot stage.
Still, ABC wants to be part of the marvel conversation, if only because both are owned by parent company Disney, which loves its corporate synergy. The projects seems like it is in very early stages, but Burke assured discussions are actively underway for the new live-action marvel female hero series the network desperately wants.
From Deadline:
“’I have spoken to marvel and we are in active talks about one project in particular.’ While she wouldn’t give away any details, she said the character would be ‘something brand new, mostly’ and that the series would fit in with its technique of female-focused superheroes.’”
Details such as which characters are included or what the story would be were scarce, as is the marvel fashion. Still, there may be some clues in Burke’s qualifier “mostly.” This suggest it involved a character or a part of the world marvel fans are familiar with, just with a “brand new” story. What could it be? Well, we have some ideas.

Misty Knight and Colleen Wing: Daughters of the Dragon

Iron Fist’s final season premiered in the summer of 2018, so that implies the characters who appeared in it have just one much more year to go before marvel can use them again. Misty Knight and Colleen Wing, played by Simone Missick and Jessica Henwick, seemed primed for a spin-off before the great marvel purge happened as a result of the streaming wars. another problem is that the actors are both very busy. She is also one of the few characters to cross over from the films to the small screen, when she did a guest spot on Agents of SHIELD. because 2015 she played the series lead on NBC’s Blindspot. Yet, the show will end with its fifth season, implying she could be available to reprise her role for a new series. In January, a marvel gossip blog suggested that a Sif-focused series was in the works for Disney+ Yet, because the shows on that streaming network are tying into the films and already feature one Asgardian-led series, ABC might be a better fit. If Alexander wants to keep working on a broadcast network show, a Sif series could work. If any live-action marvel female hero is worthy of her own series it’s Sif.
The Return of Mockingbird

In 2015, then-regulars on Agents of SHIELD, Adrianne Palicki and Nick Blood were “burned” with the spy organization resulting in an emotional send-off. The reason for this departure was that their characters, Bobbie Morse A.K.A. Mockingbird and Lance Hunter, respectively, were getting their own show. eventually titled Marvel’s many Wanted, the series would have featured them on-the-run from the authorities and, probably, combating crime. They shot a pilot, but it never went even more than that. Still, Palicki, now a star on The Orville, expressed interest in returning to the show for its final season. possibly this implies her character could rise again? The Orville has a limited run and an erratic shooting schedule because of how busy Seth MacFarlane is. So, it’s possible she could do both series or even exit the ship to rejoin the marvel Universe.
Quake is worthy of Her own Series

For seven seasons on Agents of SHIELD, Chloe Bennett played an integral role in both the show and the team. In the second season, we learned her real name: Daisy Johnson. This is the civilian name for the superhero Quake. Daisy developed powers because she’s an “inhuman,” which was Marvel’s answer to mutants because Fox owned those characters at the time. Still, because she became Quake, Bennett’s character on AoS is a certifiable badass. check out the video below as exhibit A. faced with an onslaught of alien bats that turn people into zombies and then, eventually, crystalline structures, she decimates them so efficiently Thanos would be jealous. While it’s practically certainly possible that Agents of SHIELD’s final season may end Quake’sstory permanently, fans of the show recognize that she is one of its best characters.
Maybe a Mutant could star in the next Live-Action marvel Series?
Now that marvel Studios and Disney own the rights to the mutants, possibly that could be next? Feige discussed mutants (not the X-Men) at the MCU phase 4 panel at Comic-Con. possibly this series could be a trial-balloon for introducing mutants into the marvel universe. There are literally hundreds of choices for the next marvel female hero in that roster. It’s a chance to tell a story about a mutant character that isn’t all about the ever-present animus between humans and mutants.
