Last summer, writer Evan Dorkin tweeted that his award-winning series Beasts of burden would be returning with a new artist. now the details (and some lovely covers) have appeared, including a release date.

Beasts of Burden: smart Dogs as well as Eldritch guy will be a four-issue miniseries, illustrated by Benjamin Dewey, as well as the very first problem is due out August 22. The series was co-created by Dorkin as well as original artist Jill Thompson back in 2009, telling horror stories starring loyal pets as well as other creatures. This story

follows the heroic pack of canines understood as the smart Dogs as they handle a series of new horrors as well as discover a link among a range of seemingly unrelated occult disturbances plaguing burden hill as well as the surrounding areas. Their discovery leads them to mountain village inhabited by a survivalist witch-cult who have uncovered the existence of a “Blood Lure” drawing in occult forces, creatures, as well as many more terrors to burden Hill!
